The article discusses the upcoming election to replace expelled House member Santos in New York. Santos, a Republican, was expelled after facing a 23-count federal indictment for fraud and campaign finance violations. Two candidates, including Suozzi who previously served in the House and unsuccessfully primaried New York Gov. Kathy Hochul, were selected for the race.
