Dangerous winter storm puts more than 25 million under tornado watch in Southeast

A massive winter storm is currently impacting the eastern half of the United States, causing power outages, school closures, and logistical disruptions. More than 25 million people in the Southeast are under tornado watches, and 12 tornadoes were reported across Florida, Alabama, and Georgia. The east coast is also bracing for heavy rainfall, which could potentially lead to flooding in major cities like Washington, DC and New York City. Over half the US population is under a wind alert, with power outages already affecting over 500,000 homes and businesses. The storm has also resulted in travel delays and over 800 flight cancellations.
