Crime: a swindler in Dnipro robbed elderly people
A 23-year-old woman from Pavlograd district impersonated a social worker to rob elderly residents in Dnipro, Ukraine. She gave pensioners large bills under the guise of humanitarian aid, located where their savings were stored, and stole them when the victims were distracted. The police determined the woman was involved in 7 thefts in Dnipro and arrested her in 2023 in Kharkiv Oblast for a similar crime. Criminal proceedings have been opened under Art. 185 (theft) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, and she could face up to 8 years in prison. Police are investigating her possible involvement in similar thefts in the Dnipro region.
