Court filing reveals Rep. Scott Perry’s vast web of contacts in bid to reverse 2020 election

The D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals has unsealed several text messages connected to the investigation into efforts to overturn the 2020 US presidential election, revealing extensive communication between conservative leader Congressman Perry, former DOJ official Jeffrey Clark, and key figures in former President Trump’s administration. The communications detail Perry and Clark’s plans to install Clark as Acting Attorney General, along with their discussions about alleged election fraud and the possibility of de-certifying the election results. Perry’s phone, which stored these messages, was seized by the FBI in August 2022. The disclosure of these messages has caused controversy, with Perry’s attorney expressing dismay at the public release of the Congressman’s private communications.
