The communications detail Perry and Clark’s plans to install Clark as Acting Attorney General, along with their discussions about alleged election fraud and the possibility of de-certifying the election results. Perry’s phone, which stored these messages, was seized by the FBI in August 2022. The disclosure of these messages has caused controversy, with Perry’s attorney expressing dismay at the public release of the Congressman’s private communications.
