Country music star Toby Keith has passed away at the age of 62, 18 months after publicly revealing his stomach cancer diagnosis. The musician, known for songs like “Should’ve Been a Cowboy,” “Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue,” and “Beer for My Horses,” died peacefully surrounded by family, according to a statement on his official website and social media accounts. During his cancer treatment, Keith had remained optimistic, even sharing that his tumor had shrunk by a third and he was feeling good. Before his music career, Keith worked in the oil fields and played semi-pro football. He is survived by his wife Tricia, his three children, and four grandchildren.
