Coronel brothers crash into motorbike on Dakar Rally Stage 3

At the Dakar Rally, competitors Tim and Tom Coronel crashed into Philippe Gendron on his Nomade Racing KTM bike during the 438km Al Duwadimi to Al Salamiya stage. Following the accident, a video was posted on social media explaining the incident and confirming all parties were okay. After the collision, the Coronels finished 48th on Stage 3, while Gendron came in 77th. In the overall standings, Yazeed Al-Rajhi has taken the lead from Carlos Sainz, and Kevin Benavides won the bike class after Pablo Quintanilla and Ricky Brabec were penalized for speeding.
