Convoy rally on Texas-Mexico border attracts Trump fans who decry illegal immigration
A rally named “Take Our Border Back” occurred in Quemado, Texas, where a group of people gathered to protest against President Biden and immigration. This event was primarily led by Christian groups and Trump 2024 supporters, and it was initially planned to be a convoy of 700,000 trucks traveling from Virginia to three border points, but this did not materialize as expected. Instead, around 200 vehicles, including passenger cars, RVs, and trucks, arrived at the Texas border. Tensions have risen between Texan Governor Greg Abbott and the Biden administration, primarily over immigration laws enforcement. Governor Abbott, supported by the Texas National Guard and state police, has been operating his border enforcement and has been apprehended people illegally crossing into the U.S.
