Congress Opens Investigation Into Harvard Over Antisemitism on Campus | News

The House Committee on Education and the Workforce has initiated a congressional investigation into allegations of antisemitism at Harvard. This action follows Harvard President Claudine Gay’s testimony before Congress about antisemitism on college and university campuses which faced significant backlash. The Committee plans to extend its investigation to other institutions, including Penn and MIT, holding them accountable for their failure to provide a safe learning environment for Jewish students. Harvard has not yet received official notice of the investigation but has expressed a willingness to comply. Committee Chairwoman Rep. Virginia A. Foxx confirmed the opening of the formal congressional hearing into these allegations.
