Colorado Supreme Court building shooting suspect appears in court

The Colorado Supreme Court building was the scene of a shooting incident, with Brandon Olsen accused of firing shots and starting a fire in the building. The incident occurred after Olsen fled a vehicle crash and broke into the Ralph L. Carr Colorado Judicial Center. A judge set Olsen’s bond at $100,000 due to his escalating behavior. While the incident happened after a state Supreme Court ruling against former President Donald Trump’s eligibility for office, it is believed to be unrelated to any threats against the justices. Olsen is being held on charges of first-degree arson, aggravated robbery, and second-degree burglary, all felonies.
