Cincinnati Shooting: 6 Injured, 11-Year-Old Dead

Tragedy struck Cincinnati’s West End on Friday night as an 11-year-old boy was killed and five individuals were injured in a shooting incident. Three of the victims were taken to Cincinnati Children’s hospital, with one sustaining life-threatening injuries. Two remain in the hospital, while one patient was discharged overnight. Two other victims were transported to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.

Cincinnati Police Chief, Terri Theetge, expressed her shock at the incident, stating it was “absolutely unacceptable.” No suspects have been identified yet, and the motive for the shooting remains unclear. However, the police have assured there is no ongoing threat to the community.

In response to this horrific event, Cincinnati Mayor Aftab Pureval posted a statement on social media expressing his condolences and addressing the city’s fear, trauma, and anger following the incident.
