A winter storm is causing a mix of rain and snow in the Chicago area, causing road conditions to become treacherous and leading to school closures. The storm is coming in two rounds, with the first bringing one to four inches of snow and the second round bringing one to three inches in the city and additional snowfall expected in the west. The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for several counties in effect until midnight.
