Can The Kia EV6 GT Beat A BMW M2 In A U-Drag Race?

Edmunds decided to put BMW’s M2 against Kia’s EV6 GT in a performance test. Despite having a heavier battery pack, the EV6 GT’s two motors, capable of delivering 576 hp (429 kW/584 PS) and 545 lb-ft (739 Nm) of torque, significantly outperformed the M2’s turbocharged inline-six, which produced 453 hp (338 kW/459 PS) and 406 lb-ft (550 Nm) of torque. The Kia EV6 GT won two out of three races, even though it was only half-charged and its brakes were already worn from previous testing. While the BMW M2 held its own, suggesting it was better designed for the track, the result was seen as an impressive feat for the Kia EV6 GT.
