California mom says 10-year-old fatally shot her son after losing bike race
A 10-year-old boy in California was shot and killed by a fellow 10-year-old following an argument over a bicycle race, according to statements made by the victim’s mother, Brittani Frierson. The incident occurred in Foothill Farms, a community near Sacramento. The shooter, whose identity is being withheld due to his age, reportedly found a firearm in his father’s car. The father, Arkete Davis, was consequently arrested on multiple charges, including possession of a firearm by a felon and child endangerment. Authorities believe Davis tried to discard the firearm in a trash can following the incident.
