Burke named GUHSD Counselor of the Year

The Grossmont Union High School District (GUHSD) has honored Erin Burke of Granite Hills High School as its Counselor of the Year. The accolade was announced during National School Counseling Week, recognizing school counselors who contribute to students achieving their full potential. Erin Burke, who has been with GUHSD for 18 years, is applauded for developing meaningful relationships with students and helping them map out their college and career paths. Apart from her primary role, Burke is also responsible for coordinating various student programs and serving as a CIF-championship varsity softball coach. Superintendent Mary Beth Kastan and the Counseling Department Chair Susan Lusk acknowledged her exceptional contribution towards student success.
