Bridget Ziegler refuses to resign from Sarasota school board
Bridget Ziegler, a co-founder of Moms for Liberty and outspoken supporter of traditional family values, is under scrutiny due to a rape and sexual battery investigation involving her husband, Christian Ziegler. The case has led to fallout within Moms for Liberty, with a Pennsylvania chapter splitting from the national group, and Ziegler’s resignation from her role as vice president of school board programs at the Leadership Institute. Ziegler, who was endorsed by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis in the 2022 school board election, faces criticism for hypocrisy and calls for her resignation. Despite a resolution condemning her actions, only DeSantis can remove Ziegler from the school board.
