Blackpink headline Coachella in Korean hanboks
K-Pop girl group Blackpink made history as the first Asian act to headline Coachella, performing to a crowd of over 125,000 people. The group paid homage to their Korean heritage by taking the stage in traditional hanbok dresses, which were quickly shrugged off to reveal custom Dolce and Gabbana outfits. The hanboks were custom-made by South Korean pattern design brand OUWR and dressmakers Kumdanje, and featured traditional Korean motifs.
