South-central Pennsylvania is expected to face the biggest winter storm in nearly three years in 2024. The storm is projected to start on Saturday, with snow developing from the southwest to northeast, becoming moderate to heavy by the afternoon, particularly in areas northwest of Interstate 81. Areas north and west of Harrisburg are anticipated to see higher snow totals between 5 to 8 inches. Most of the Susquehanna Valley will receive 2 to 5 inches of snow, with Southern York and Lancaster counties expected to get a coating of 2 inches.
