This places Biden ahead of the fundraising efforts of former President Obama but behind those of former President Trump. Despite a slow build-up and concerns about a lack of on-the-ground infrastructure in battleground states, Biden’s campaign has made recent hires and boosted its payroll. Additionally, the Future Forward group backing Biden’s reelection has raised over $200 million in 2023 and announced a $250 million TV ad buy for the general election.
