Biden campaign raised $97 million in 4th quarter, set war chest record

President Joe Biden’s reelection campaign reportedly raised over $97 million in Q4 of 2023, resulting in a total campaign war chest of $117 million. The figure represents a record amount for a Democratic presidential candidate at this stage of the election cycle. Biden’s campaign manager, Julie Chavez Rodriguez, credits the considerable amount to grassroots enthusiasm, stating that the Biden-Harris coalition knows the stakes of this election and is ready to win in November. The fundraising figures of Republican front-runner, former President Donald Trump, and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis have not been released, while Nikki Haley’s campaign reported raising $24 million in Q4. Since announcing his reelection bid in April, Biden has raised $235 million from nearly 1 million donors, with 97% of donations under $200.
