Basketball: Bridget Rifenburg – USA TOPNews.MEDIA

Sophomore guard Bridget Rifenburg is noted as one of the breakout stars for Benet in their drive to the Class 4A state championship game. She is averaging 7.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 2.0 steals per game this season, and leads the Redwings in free-throw attempts and free-throw percentage at 81.3%. Rifenburg’s new role this year is different from last season where she had limited playing time. Benet Coach Joe Kilbride expressed confidence in her abilities, mentioning her hard work and improved defense. The team’s performance in postseason now largely depends on Rifenburg, who is set to take on a more aggressive scoring role.
