Back-to-back storms impacting Arizona this week

Arizona is bracing for back-to-back winter storms this week, which are expected to bring valley rain, high country snow, gusty winds, and a significant cool-down. The storms could impact travel, outdoor activities, and the Phoenix Open. The first storm is expected on Tuesday and Wednesday, with scattered showers continuing on Thursday and another storm due on Friday. Snow levels are expected to drop to around 6,500 feet by Tuesday night, falling to around 5,000 feet on Wednesday night. This could result in nearly a foot of snow in places like Flagstaff, Williams, and Forest Lakes. The anticipated heavy rainfall could also lead to flood watches and warnings in central and western Arizona, including the Valley.
