The city of Houston will hold its annual MLK Parade on February 10th, after a postponement in January due to the winter freeze. The city is partnering with the Black Heritage Society for the parade which honors Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. during Black History Month. The parade, originally scheduled for January 15, 2024, will now start at 10 a.m. at Houston City Hall. Civil Rights Attorney Benjamin Crump, along with Harris County Commissioner Adrian Garcia and Pastor Walter August Jr., will serve as Grand Marshals for the event. This year’s theme is “Brotherly Love is the Strongest Advocacy for Peace”.
