Anger drivers lash out after Gaza protesters shuts down 110

A group of protesters blocked the 110 Freeway in downtown Los Angeles to call for a cease-fire in the Gaza Strip. The protest was organized by IfNotNow, a progressive Jewish group, and involved around 100 people. The California Highway Patrol arrested 75 protesters. The freeway was fully reopened after about two hours. The group apologized to drivers but said they felt it was the only way to make their voices heard. This was not the first protest organized by IfNotNow, as they had previously shut down a Hollywood intersection and organized a gathering of 1,000 pro-Palestinian protesters during President Biden’s visit to Los Angeles.
