Ambulance Overturned In Multi-Car Crash Sends 15 To The Hospital

An ambulance driver in Florida caused a three-vehicle accident after failing to clear an intersection, resulting in 15 people taken to the hospital, including two firefighters, the bus driver, the truck driver, and 11 special needs students. The accident occurred at the intersection of SW 90th St and SW 80th Ave in Marion County when a small bus and a Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck simultaneously struck the ambulance’s passenger side, causing it to flip. The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the incident, while the Marion County Fire and Rescue are reminding citizens to yield to emergency vehicles. The video from the accident shows the ambulance moving quickly into the intersection, leading some to suggest that the emergency vehicle should have visually cleared the intersection before proceeding.
