Alex Jones and Sandy Hook Families Enter Final Stretch in Bankruptcy Fight
Alex Jones, a conspiracy theorist, has suggested paying Sandy Hook families, who won a $1 billion lawsuit against him and his company, Infowars, a total of $5.5 million annually for a decade. However, the families are aiming to liquidate Jones’s media empire. Jones was sued by the families for spreading false information about the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting being a hoax. Despite being sued, Jones continues to spread misinformation through his Infowars platform. A final decision on the bankruptcy settlement plan is expected to be reached in late February during final hearings in a Houston bankruptcy court.
