Air Force disciplines 15 airmen in investigation of accused leaker Jack Teixeira

Fifteen airmen, including those in command, have been disciplined following a broad Air Force investigation into the leak of sensitive information by Jack Teixeira. The airmen failed to act when they became aware of Teixeira’s intelligence-seeking activities. However, there was no evidence found that Teixeira’s immediate superiors were aware he was allegedly leaking sensitive secrets online. The Air Force found a pattern of lax oversight at Teixeira’s base which indirectly contributed to his alleged ability to leak classified documents. The 15 service members have been removed from their positions and received non-judicial administrative punishments.
