AG says special counsel has finished probe into Biden’s handling of classified docs

Special counsel Robert Hur has concluded his investigation into classified documents found at President Joe Biden’s residences. The documents, some of which hold “top secret” classification, dated back to Biden’s vice presidency. Attorney General Merrick Garland, who appointed Hur as special counsel in 2023, submitted Hur’s report to the Justice Department and indicated his commitment to publicizing as much of the report as possible. While the findings are yet to be made public, the investigation has involved interviews with up to 100 current and former officials, including President Biden. The White House has consistently expressed its cooperation with the investigation.
