The recent release of documents in New York linked to disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein has not provided much new information about the broad sex-trafficking conspiracy centered around Epstein. The files focused on the recruitment of young women for the conspiracy, including references to former US president Bill Clinton and British royal Prince Andrew. However, no one beyond Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, his partner-in-crime, is directly implicated in the conspiracy. The documents contain claims that Prince Andrew participated in an “underage orgy” on Epstein’s private island, which Buckingham Palace denies. Ghislaine Maxwell remains the only person convicted of any crime related to the conspiracy, serving a 20-year sentence for recruiting and grooming underage girls for Epstein.
