A $3.99 vase at Goodwill turns out to be worth over $100,000

Jessica Vincent purchased a rare Italian glass vase for $3.99 at a Goodwill store in Virginia, later selling it for $107,000. The vase, with a swirl pattern of translucent red and seafoam green, was in perfect condition and was identified to have been designed by renowned Italian architect Carlo Scarpa, contributing to its high value. Vincent utilized a collectors Facebook group, leading her to several auctioneers including the Wright auction house which she eventually sold to. The vase had been purchased by an advanced collector in Europe, where it is expected to be donated to a museum.
