An 82-year-old woman, Janette Daniels Johnson, died when a car fell from the fourth level of a parking deck at Grandview Medical Center in Birmingham, Alabama. The incident occurred around 8:30 a.m. and caused a road behind the hospital to be closed for more than an hour. The cause of the car’s fall remains under investigation. The hospital’s emergency services or patient care facilities were not impacted by the incident. Grandview thanked local police, fire and EMS services for their quick response to the accident.
