71-year-old serial bank robber arrested in Los Angeles
Bruce Edward Bell, a 71-year-old serial bank robber with four prior convictions, was arrested after robbing more than $60,000 from a bank in Los Angeles County. During the robbery, Bell threatened an employee with a firearm and forced entry into a secure area. He fled the scene in a silver 2002 Volvo sedan, but was identified by witnesses and apprehended by LAPD’s Foothill Division. At the time of the incident, Bell was on supervised release, having been let out of prison in July 2021. Investigators believe he may have committed additional robberies with unidentified victims.
