6 years after Santa Fe shooting: Trial date set for civil suit filed by victims’ families against Dimitrios Pagourtzis’ parents

A trial date has been set in a civil lawsuit filed against the parents of the alleged shooter in the Santa Fe High School shooting. The lawsuit alleges that Antonios Pagourtzis and Rose Marie Kosmetatos failed to properly secure their weapons and provide their son, Dimitrios Pagourtzis, with necessary mental health counseling. The judge, Jack Ewing, set a pre-trial conference for May 17, and the trial to begin on May 28. The trial date was welcomed by the victims’ families and survivors. The plaintiffs are seeking change rather than financial compensation.
