55k PG&E customers still without power, roads closed

A deadly atmospheric river hit the Central Coast, causing powerful winds, downed powerlines and trees, and road blocks. As a result, almost 50,000 PG&E customers were without power on Monday afternoon. Nearly 22,000 were affected in Santa Cruz County, more than 27,300 in Monterey County, and 19 in San Benito County. Due to power outages and storm damage, numerous schools were closed and several roads were blocked off in specific areas. All evacuation warnings and orders were lifted for Monterey county as of 10 a.m. Monday.
