500 vehicles from multiple states traveled to Shelton for attempted street takeover – NBC Connecticut

An attempted street takeover involving hundreds of vehicles from various states was thwarted in Shelton over the weekend. Approximately 500 vehicles, some from as far off as New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania and Vermont, converged in Shelton around 8 p.m on Saturday. A large police presence, including officers from Derby, Milford, Orange and Trumbull, and federal officials alongside Connecticut State Police, were on-site to disperse the vehicles. The group made attempts to gather in other parking lots but were dispersed each time by police. Several infractions were issued and some vehicles were towed, however, no arrests were made.
