3 dead in fiery crash on Maine Turnpike caused by wrong-way driver

Three people died in a fiery car crash on the Maine Turnpike, caused by a wrong-way driver. The driver, operating a Honda Civic, was first reported moving southbound at high speed in the northbound lane near mile 48 in Portland. The driver first hit a Ford F-150, whose driver was unharmed and reported minor vehicle damage. The wrong-way driver then collided head-on with a Toyota Rav4, and both vehicles caught fire. The drivers of the Honda Civic and the Toyota Rav4, as well as a passenger in the Civic, all died in the crash. The incident is still under investigation.
