2026 Mercedes EQC SUV Limbering Up For A Fight With BMW’s Neue Klasse iX3
The Tesla Model Y currently leads in electric SUV sales, especially in Europe. However, it may face competition over the next few years from Chinese brands expanding globally and established luxury car brands like BMW and Mercedes. BMW is preparing to launch the first EV to use its Neue Klasse platform, potentially named the iX3. Mercedes is also working on the 2026 EQC SUV (or GLC EV), which will switch to an EV-centric platform. Mercedes plans to manufacture the new EQC at its Vance, Alabama plant, according to reports.
