2 Shot on Subway Train During Evening Rush in Brooklyn, Police Say

A 17-year-old boy and a man in his 40s were shot inside a moving northbound C subway car in Brooklyn’s Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood during the evening rush hour on Tuesday. The incident occurred as the train approached the Ralph Avenue station. The teenager suffered a hand injury while the man was shot in the ankle, both were in stable condition. The gunman, who fled the scene, remains unknown and the investigation is still ongoing. Due to the incident, the Metropolitan Transportation Authority shifted northbound C trains to run express between Broadway Junction and Hoyt-Schermerhorn Streets for about two hours.
