1 charged after Myers Park HS senior killed during party, CMPD says – WSOC TV
A teenager named Avyon Titus Thomas was shot and killed during a party in northwest Charlotte, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department. The police found the 17-year-old at a house on West Trade Street near the Brookshire Freeway early on Sunday morning. An 18-year-old, Jamir Easter, has been charged with involuntary manslaughter in relation to the case. The shooting happened in a home frequently leased by a homestay rental company and often the site of parties. The police are investigating the case as a homicide.
