Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky held a conversation with French President Emmanuel Macron. He thanked Macron for France’s military assistance and discussed Ukraine’s priority needs and the upcoming French defense package that will significantly strengthen Ukraine’s firepower. Zelensky also thanked France for preparing to accept Ukrainian pilots for the second phase of F-16 aircraft training. He talked about the functioning of the “grain corridor”, through which 7.5 million tons of cargo have been transported. Zelensky emphasized the importance of opening negotiations on Ukraine’s entry into the EU during the Council of Europe summit.
