З Латвії видворили 82-річного голову Латвійсько-російської асоціації

The Latvian-Russian Cooperation Association’s head, Boris Katkov, a Russian citizen, has been expelled from Latvia. The State Security Service (VDD) of Latvia urged Interior Minister Rihards Kozlovskis to list Katkov as an undesirable individual due to his long-term and systematic activities benefiting Russia. Katkov, who moved to Latvia in 1966 and held the rank of colonel until his retirement in 1991, received a non-citizen passport from Latvia in 1998 and accepted Russian citizenship in 2000. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia and the Russian Embassy in Latvia criticized Latvia’s actions as provocative, inhumane, and a violation of the principle of family unity.
