The Wizards Are Trading Daniel Gafford To The Mavericks

The Dallas Mavericks have acquired Daniel Gafford from the Washington Wizards, addressing their need for a backup center. In return, the Wizards will receive Richaun Holmes and draft compensation. The Mavericks managed to secure the second-worst of the Oklahoma City Thunder’s four first-round picks for this year to fulfill Washington’s demands. The Mavericks also added P.J. Washington ahead of the trade deadline. Gafford averages 10.9 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 2.2 blocks per game this season and is expected to provide the Mavericks with more options on offense and defense.
