The Pistons Are Trading Monte Morris To The Timberwolves

The Detroit Pistons have traded veteran point guard Monte Morris to the Minnesota Timberwolves, in a deal that sees Shake Milton, Troy Brown Jr., and a second-round pick moving in the opposite direction. Morris, recently returned from a quad injury, has played six games for Detroit this season, averaging 4.5 points in 11.3 minutes per game; he was previously a reliable backup point guard with a strong three-point shot in Washington and Denver. The Timberwolves hope Morris will bolster their point guard rotation with veteran depth for a deep playoff run, while the Pistons will add two younger players with floor-spacing potential and another second-round pick.
