The Celtics Will Acquire Xavier Tillman From The Grizzlies

The Boston Celtics, currently holding the best record in the NBA, have added Xavier Tillman, a fourth-year center, to their roster through a trade deal with the Memphis Grizzlies. In exchange, the Grizzlies will receive two second-round draft picks in 2027 and 2030. Despite having Kristaps Porzingis at center, the Celtics have brought in Tillman to add depth to their frontcourt, particularly for times when Porzingis is off the floor. Tillman has accrued considerable playoff experience and has averaged six points and 4.6 rebounds in 20.6 minutes per game this season. The Grizzlies, despite their aspiration for a Western Conference run, have struggled with a slew of injuries and currently have one of the worst league records.
