Despite initial indications that the team would not hang a banner, the Lakers have confirmed they will display a unique banner, differing in shape and color from their NBA championship banners. The banner will honor their 2023 IST championship and future dates will be added should they win additional IST titles. The Lakers went undefeated in group play in the tournament, knocking off the Phoenix Suns in the knockout rounds, with standout performances by LeBron James and Anthony Davis.
