Gregg Popovich Grabs Mic, Tells Spurs Fans To Not Boo Kawhi

San Antonio Spurs fans continue to express resentment towards former player Kawhi Leonard, who now plays for the Los Angeles Clippers, often booing him during games. In response, Spurs coach Gregg Popovich took to the microphone during a match to ask fans to cease their booing, stating it had ‘no class’ and it’s ‘not who we are.’ Despite this, reports indicate that the booing only increased following Popovich’s appeal. Leonard, a previous NBA Finals MVP and championship winner with the Spurs, left the team in 2018 following a trade request, which was reportedly influenced by tension during his rehabilitation from a quadriceps injury.
