Westmoreland County Woman Arrested After Toddler Consumes Cannabis

A woman in Westmoreland County, Pittsburgh, has been taken into custody following an incident where her two-year-old son ingested cannabis.

The woman, identified as Shelby Bosworth, initially reported that her toddler had a fall down the stairs on November 1. However, when the child failed to wake up from a nap thereafter, he was rushed to the hospital. Tests revealed no injuries from the fall, but a urine test detected traces of marijuana in the child’s system.

Bosworth was arrested on Friday on charges of endangering the welfare of a child.
