U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Proposes Cannabis Reclassification

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has proposed that the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) reclassify cannabis from a Schedule I to a Schedule III substance under the Controlled Substances Act (CSA). This recommendation follows a call from the Biden Administration 10 months ago for a review of the federal scheduling of cannabis.
