The Purple Dragon Prioritizes Armed Security After Shootout Incident

The Purple Dragon, a cannabis dispensary on West Hildebrand Ave, San Antonio, witnessed a shootout incident involving three robbers on a Saturday morning. Ricardo Lopez, the dispensary owner, has always prioritized armed security for the protection of his employees.

Three men broke into the dispensary around 3 a.m. Two of them were armed; one pointed his handgun at the clerk while another patrolled the room. An alert security guard returned fire, injuring the patrolling gunman. The other armed robber fired at the guard before fleeing. The third robber vanished at the sound of gunfire.

“Our security acted swiftly to neutralize the situation,” commented Lopez. However, the security guard was shot three times during the exchange. The injured gunman remained on the floor, still holding his weapon.

In midst of chaos, a potential customer entered the dispensary. Despite the threat, the clerk warned the customer to leave before attempting to call 911. “The clerk handled the situation perfectly, getting the ambulance and ensuring everyone’s safety,” commended Lopez.

The injured security guard was further shot attempting to leave the room. Police arrived 20 minutes later and apprehended the injured gunman without incident.

The security guard, now stable, is expected to recover. The injured gunman remains in critical condition, according to police reports.

Lopez hopes this incident will deter potential thieves, emphasizing that his dispensary is well-secured and will take necessary action to protect employees and customers. The SAPD urges anyone with information on the remaining suspects to contact them immediately.
