Cannabis Store Tree Huggers Debuts in Caledonia

– A new Tree Huggers store opened in the former Dairy Queen restaurant in Caledonia, Minn. The retail arm of Tree Huggers Cannabis in La Crosse, it sells a variety of products derived from industrial hemp and some wholesaling to other stores. The owners anticipate selling cannabis in their Minnesota store once the state licenses them to do so, following the state legalization of cannabis.
– The Outrageous Boutique women’s boutique will close on November 30 after a store-closing sale. The owner, Nancy Neil, recently retired and moved to Connecticut. Her son, Joel Mellor, is running the business until the closing date.
– The Garage Ball indoor baseball and softball practice facility will open later this month at its new location in Onalaska. The new location has three pitching mounds and three batting cages. It is taking reservations for new members, team rentals, and lessons.


Tree Huggers Opens New Store in Caledonia, Minnesota

A new Tree Huggers store has just opened in the former Dairy Queen restaurant at 603 Esch Drive in Caledonia, Minn. This comes after the restaurant’s closure in September 2022. Tree Huggers, a retail subsidiary of Tree Huggers Cannabis in La Crosse, creates a variety of products from industrial hemp and also wholesales to other outlets. Co-owners Dillon Beyer, Brent Welch, and Ryan Johnson opened their first store in La Crosse in February 2021. Welch’s wife, Sara, manages the new Caledonia store.

Tree Huggers Anticipates Selling Cannabis in Minnesota Stores

With the legalization of cannabis sales for adult use in Minnesota expected to start in the first quarter of 2025, Tree Huggers’ owners are preparing to sell cannabis in their Minnesota stores once they get licensed. They see the Caledonia location as the first of multiple Tree Huggers stores in Minnesota. The next Minnesota store will likely open in the second quarter of 2024. Burlington Stores to Occupy Half of Current TJ Maxx Space in Onalaska

The Onalaska Plan Commission is set to hold a public hearing on an application for a Burlington Stores outlet in the current TJ Maxx/HomeGoods store in Crosseroads Center, Onalaska. TJ Maxx and HomeGoods are moving to the former Shopko department store building at 9366 Hwy. 16 in Onalaska. Burlington is a national discount retailer selling a variety of items. Legends Sports Group Store Opens in Valley View Mall

Mike Kulig’s Legends Sports Group store has opened in Valley View Mall. The store offers signed memorabilia, sports card supplies, 3D wall art, beach towels, night lights, pennants, lanyards, earrings, banners, flags, and puzzles. Closure of Outrageous Boutique in Downtown La Crosse
