Difficult Battle for Dickinson Men’s Squash Team in Pennsylvania State Cup

The Dickinson Men’s Squash team faced a challenging match on the second day of the Pennsylvania State Cup, barely 24-hours after a home opener against Franklin & Marshall College. This time, they contended with the top-rated University of Pennsylvania squash team at the Penn Squash Center. Predictably, the Quakers, reigning as the top collegiate squash team in the nation, secured a 9-0 victory over the Devils.

Dickinson’s performance was notably limited during the match, with the team only managing to score above five points in nine games. Standout performances were seen from Joe Smythe at the number one spot and Kobe Fleming in the fourth spot. Both players scored over five points twice. Other team members including Mark Naguib (3rd), Sam Knipp (5th), Jack Corkum (6th), James Kiracofe (7th) and Aidan Donnan (9th) each surpassed the five-point mark once during their matches.
